State of the Market – 12/31/08

I was home for most of the day today with my first born, so I was able to watch the market a little bit and wanted to share some thoughts on this final trading day of 2008. Following up on yesterday’s low volume melt-up, we saw more of the same today. Stocks rose steadily throughout the session but with volume coming in light and even lower than yesterday’s light totals in some cases, I can’t give much credence to this action.
