90% Fall in Tourism Market Since 2007: CEO

“Overall in the last two years, we’ve seen close to a 90% decline in transaction volumes,” Arthur de Haast, global CEO of Jones Land Lasalle Hotels, told CNBC Wednesday. Australia was the first place to recover in 2009, followed by Southeast Asia, he said, adding that “in 2010 in that region, Japan will probably be the most active market.”
